The University of Maine at Presque Isle will present Maine-based writer and nonprofit director Marpheen Chann as the next speaker in its 2025-2026 Libra Distinguished Lecture Series on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Campus Center and via Zoom. The University of Maine at Presque Isle will present educator and award-winning author Dr. Maureen Healy as the first speaker in its 2025-2026 Libra Distinguished Lecture Series on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. in the Campus Center. The University of Maine at Presque Isle鈥檚 Reed Art Gallery is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibition honoring the life and legacy of longtime art patron and collector David Hitchcock. Titled Selections from the Carl and Alice Hitchcock Collection: A Tribute to David Hitchcock, the exhibition will open Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, with a reception from 6-8 p.m. during the Presque Isle First Friday Art Walk.
